New Wellington Office Manager
We are delighted to announce that Will Armitage will become RCP's new Wellington Office Manager.
RCP Regional Director, Ben Gurton, is particularly proud of the accomplishment.
"It's been fantastic watching Will develop since joining us in 2020, and we're excited to see him challenge himself further in a role that holds significant importance to our local business. Will's drive and enthusiasm for the local built environment and stakeholder network is infectious. He brings fresh thinking to address the many challenges in front of the local Wellington market, and the industry generally, as it traverses the next cycle," says Ben.
Will is a NZGBC Green Star Accredited Professional and an active member of RCP's Environmental Committee, where he has helped shape our internal environmental management capability, which includes Toitū Enviromark (Diamond) and CarbonReduce certifications, which will help to define our pathway towards becoming a net-zero carbon business. He is also leading the development of RCP's decarbonisation and sustainability advisory services.
Besides his sustainability focus, Will is passionate about managing seismic strengthening, heritage and re-use projects. Will offers excellent insight into delivering projects where stakeholder relations and construction sequencing are paramount to project success. His expertise in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), design management, and staged procurement strategies are also highly valued.
Will's recent experience includes the refurbishment of the award-winning 30 Waring Taylor building for Precinct Properties, and he is currently the Project Lead for the refurbishment and seismic upgrade of Te Matapihi – Wellington Central Library for Wellington City Council. Will has worked as Tenant's Representative and Landlord's Representative, bringing a wealth of contract management experience. He's also successfully worked with the Department of Corrections to deliver various upgrade and new-build development projects at Rimutaka Prison.
His appointment will commence in June when he takes over from Bevan Judge, who will relocate to lead RCP's new Vancouver Office.
