Multistorey Car Park Building

RCP was engaged by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (FPH) as the project manager and engineer to the contract for the design and delivery of a multistorey car park located on its campus in East Tamaki, Auckland.  

The building will provide circa 945 car parks over six levels. Safety in design is a key consideration being managed by RCP to minimise pedestrian risk and includes extensive façade optioneering as it relates to the open façade treatment. 

The car park includes multiple electric car stations, and the project features extensive roading and landscaping to complement the existing campus. 

The building has been fully detailed and coordinated in a three-dimensional BIM environment, with the as-built BIM model provided to the client at the end of construction for use in its asset management software.  

RCP provides value to its clients in many ways – saving costs is one, and understanding where design is done to excess. By working closely with the consultant team and seeking a second opinion, RCP was able to save FPH a large sum in unnecessary materials that were originally specified.
