Project Manager

RCP is seeking a driven Project Manager for our Tauranga office to deliver exceptional results for clients in New Zealand’s property and infrastructure sectors.

This is a pivotal role for a proactive professional ready to take greater ownership of projects, build client relationships, and develop their expertise in a supportive, high-performing environment.

You will more specifically be responsible for:

  • Project Delivery & Administration: Independently managing projects of limited scale, risk, and complexity, ensuring all project controls, reporting, and documentation are accurate and timely.

  • Client & Team Engagement: Acting as the day-to-day “first point of contact” for clients and project teams, maintaining high standards of communication, responsiveness, and professionalism.

  • Consultant & Contractor Management: Leading procurement processes, contract administration, and monitoring deliverables to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Design & Consent Management: Chairing design meetings, managing design deliverables, and facilitating statutory consent processes with relevant authorities.

  • Construction & Close Out: Overseeing contract administration, commissioning, and project close-out, ensuring all documentation and client requirements are fulfilled.

  • Professional Standards: Demonstrating negotiation, influence, sustainability awareness, and inclusive leadership, while upholding health and safety standards.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) relevant to project management or RCP’s consulting capability.

  • 3–5 years’ professional experience in project management or adjacent roles (property, asset development, construction, infrastructure, or development management).

  • Working knowledge of project management processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Some experience with NZS3910 contracts and administration techniques.
