Accountant

RCP is seeking a diligent and forward-thinking Accountant to safeguard and enhance the financial integrity of the business. 

This is a critical role for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, service-based environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial insights, maintaining compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.

You will more specifically be responsible for:

  • Financial Operations & Compliance: Managing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, expense claims, and payments in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, and financial commentary. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and end-of-year financial statements and audits.

  • Cash Flow & Reconciliation: Monitoring daily cash positions, reconciling bank accounts weekly, and maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.

  • Systems & Process Improvement: Confidently using ERP systems (Deltek VP, Xero) and financial tools (Excel, Power BI) to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and support digital transformation initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal teams including Project Directors, Office Managers, and Shared Services to ensure financial data is timely, accurate, and aligned with business needs. Managing key external relationships with banks, auditors, and financial system providers.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Supporting the Finance Manager in leading and developing finance team members, fostering a culture of accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

Your background

  • Minimum five years’ experience in finance/accounting roles, with exposure to accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end reporting.

  • 3 - 4 years of hands-on experience in financial processes including taxation, reconciliations, IRD submissions, and audit preparation.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.

  • Proficient in key financial systems and ERP solutions (currently Deltek VP). Plus, Excel, Word, Power BI, and MS Outlook.  

  • Experience managing financials for related entities and intercompany transactions is advantageous.
