The 1960s building it sat in added its own problems. The as-built drawings were inaccurate, and because the fit-out was handed over in phases there was no chance for a full site scan at the start, so RCP verified the real conditions before work could proceed.
The programme was compressed, and flooding tightened it further, leaving the restaurant as the last space finished. RCP held the contractor to stricter, trackable programming to bring it in, and ran the furniture and fit-out procurement, working with the chef on the detail down to the plates, glasses and cutlery.
Advieh opened with the hotel and on budget, and has become one of the InterContinental's draws on the waterfront.
