Timothy Dougherty

Timothy has spent his career across both sides of the industry, from the large residential developments reshaping Auckland to the complex commercial and workplace projects going up alongside them.

On the residential side, he helps lead some of the city's biggest community housing. He is part of RCP's team on the Tāmaki Regeneration Programme, a twenty-year transformation of Glen Innes, Point England and Panmure, helping deliver more than 530 new homes across five sites. Much of this work sits in established communities, and he handles the consenting, procurement and engagement that comes with it, including with mana whenua.

His commercial and workplace experience runs just as deep, taking in major office fit-outs, retail and mixed-use projects, often live, occupied work where a building has to keep running while it changes around the people using it.

He came into the industry through property, with a degree from the University of Auckland and a spell building custom homes in the United States, first joining RCP in 2014 and returning in 2016 after that time overseas. Through all of it, he keeps the focus on the people, the clients, consultants and contractors who have to work well together for any project to land.
