Biography

Laura is leading RCP's presence in Hawke's Bay, strengthening relationships and supporting the continued growth of the business in the region. Laura’s Scottish roots and career across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand have enabled her to build rapport quickly in new markets, building trust with clients, consultants, and industry partners. She has a proven ability to establish strong relationships on the ground, understand local dynamics and enable effective collaborations.

With a background in architecture, she brings a strong foundation in design management and works closely with clients and consultant teams from early planning through to delivery. She is particularly experienced in public sector environments, working with local authorities and government clients on projects that require careful navigation of governance, reporting and stakeholder processes. Her experience also includes involvement in business cases and advisory work alongside delivery roles.

Laura places a strong emphasis on project set-up and team alignment, believing the success of a project is often determined early. She is practical and direct in how she works, focused on getting the right people engaged in the outcome from the start. As a project manager she sees her role as having real influence over how a team functions, and she invests in that, maintaining momentum, creating clarity and leading by example through honesty and transparency.

"Building something from scratch in a new region is exactly the kind of challenge I thrive on. The relationships you build early are what everything else grows from."
