Kevin
Merrigan

Kevin Merrigan has a background in mechanical and biomedical engineering, and experience delivering complex technical facilities across Ireland and Australia before bringing that expertise to New Zealand. He began his career designing and delivering pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, working on highly serviced, process-driven facilities where the technical requirements and coordination demands are particularly high.

Throughout his career Kevin has moved between engineering and project management, a combination that has given him a strong technical foundation and a practical understanding of how complex projects are delivered. He now works fully in project management, where that technical background allows him to challenge solutions, make decisions quickly and help teams focus on what is most important to get a project delivered successfully.

At RCP, Kevin works across both property and infrastructure, including complex facility projects, seismic strengthening and water infrastructure programmes. He also leads RCP's team working within Wellington Water, focused on strengthening RCP's presence in the water sector and building a strong, long-term relationship in that space.

Kevin is particularly drawn to complex, highly technical projects where there are multiple stakeholders, technical challenges and competing priorities to navigate. Alongside his project work, he is passionate about mentoring and developing others, something he sees as an important part of his role as he grows in his career.
