James has spent over a decade delivering property projects across Auckland, and the thread running through all of it is the same: the job is as much about people as it is about process. Getting contractors, clients and consultants genuinely pulling in the same direction is what separates projects that flow from those that struggle, and it is something he is intentional about from the moment he steps onto a project.

His route into the industry took a different path. He studied graphic design before starting out in labouring and construction site management, and that combination, knowing how to communicate an idea and understanding how a building actually goes together, has shaped how he works. His strength sits at the construction and procurement end, driving delivery through to completion across commercial, industrial, fit-out and technology-driven projects.

James leads RCP's industrial and technology sector, paying attention to where the market is moving and making sure RCP is well positioned across the full range of work in that space. He is as focused on building lasting client relationships as he is on the project in front of him.
